Abstract
Primitive neuroectodermal tumor(PNET) is a small round cell sarcoma that mainly develops in the central nervous system and soft tissues, and peripheral PNET is thought to arise from the neural crest. PNET arising in the kidney is very rare, highly aggressive and has poor prognosis. The treatment is surgical resection, and combined chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Immunohistochemical staining is useful for diagnosis. Here we report a case of PNET of the kidney in a 55-year-old woman with a brief review of the literatures.
